How do the Daily Horse Pictures work?
Visitors send us their horse's picture by using this page: Send Your Horse's Picture.
Their pictures are then displayed in the Daily Horse Pictures feature. Pictures
are displayed for 24 hours. Each day, visitors to FloridaHorsePhotoContest.Net view the horse pictures and vote on each of
them. At midnight, the voting closes for that day's pictures, and new pictures are displayed for the next day.
All pictures will be available for viewing for a minimum of 1 year on the
Picture Archives page.
Visitors receive an email notification that their picture has been received with a link to verify the picture. Visitors must click on the link so that we know they are the sender of the picture. Only pictures that have been verified can be posted.
Please do not submit horses for sale in the Contest. Please check under Rates for the cost of an ad.
How Does Voting work?
Voting is restricted to 1 vote per person per picture.
Any duplicate entries will be discarded. If the owner or photographer of the photo is caught cheating, their photo
will be removed from the contest. You will notice each picture's rating fluctuating throughout
the day, depending on how each visitor votes on the picture.
What is the Horse of the Month?
From the Daily Pictures that are displayed each day, the picture with the highest
vote for the entire previous month will become the
Horse of the Month
for the current month. The Horse of the Month picture is displayed on the Home Page with a
link to it's own page! Pictures that win the Horse of the Month award will be displayed on the
Horse of the Month Archives page for a minimum of 1 year.
What is the Horse of the Year?
The picture that received the highest vote for the year will become the
Horse of the Year. The photographer of the winning photo will receive a $35.00 Gift Certificate! The Horse
of the Year will be displayed on its own page for the entire following year with a link from the
Home Page.
Prizes:
We will contact prize winners by using the email address of the horse's photographer, which was
sent to us while submitting their photo for the contest. If we do not receive a reply from
the winner within 30 days of being contacted, or if the photographer's email address is no longer valid,
the prize is forfeited.
